GUIDING LIGHT is a band project by artists Artjom
Astrov, Michaela Kisling and Till Megerle that
started as a series of videos released on YouTube
by the music label Serious Serious (Guiding Light
I-III, 2021 ⤴
). These were followed by performances
commissioned by Kunsthalle Wien (Guiding Light
IV, 2022 ⤴
) and Tallinn’s Kanuti Gildi SAAL
(Guiding Light V, 2023 ⤴).

Artjom Astrov is a musician based in Vienna. His artistic practice incorporates spatial and conceptual propereties of sound, language and video.

Artjom Astrov’s recent solo and collaborative work has been shown at Palais de Tokyo, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, and Tanzquartier Wien.
